Fabrizio Meloni

Primo clarinetto solista del Teatro della Filarmonica della Scala dal 1984, ha compiuto gli studi musicali presso il Conservatorio G. Verdi di Milano, diplomandosi con il massimo dei voti, la lode e la mensione d’onore sotto la guida del M° P. Borati. Vincitore di vari concorsi Nazionali  ed internazionali (il premio Primavera di Praga, il premio Concorso di Monaco) ha suonato come solista con numerose orchestre: RAI, Pomeriggi Musicali, Stradivari, Internazionale, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala e con l’Orchestra di Tokyo. Ha collaborato con Canino, Lonquich, Campanella, H.Schiff, Guida, Gruberova, i membri del Quartetto Hugen, Myung-Whun Chung... Con il Quintetto Italiano ha effettuato tournÉe negli Stati Uniti ed in Israele eseguendo brani dedicati a questa formazione da Berio, Sciarrino e Mascagni. Ha inciso per la Nuova Era la Sinfonia Concertante di Mozart con il Quintetto a fiati Italiano, per la Fonit Cetra i Quintetti di Mozart e Brahms per clarinetto ed archi, con i Manara e il trio d’archi della Scala e per la Thymallus un CD dedicato a Schubert, Schumann e Mendelsshon. Ha inoltre all’attivo incisioni radiofoniche RAI, BBC, Suisse Romande e partecipazioni ai maggiori festivals Europei (Strasburgo, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Wien Ruden...). Ha partecipato al Clarinetfest Ô96, una rassegna concertistica che prevede la partecipazione dei maggiori clarinettisti svoltasi a Parigi. Lo scorso dicembre, nell’ambito della stagione della Filarmonica della Scala, ha eseguito il concerto di Mozart K 622 diretto dal M° Ricardo Muti; l’esecuzione ha avuto entusiastici consensi di pubblico e critica. Docente in vari corsi (Lonato, Porto S.Giorgio, Perugia, Castelfranco Veneto) è stato invitato dal Conservatorio Superiore di Musica di Parigi per una serie di concerti e master classes che si terranno nel prossimo giugno.

First clarinet soloist of the Philharmonic society of the theatre “alla Scala” from Milan since 1984, he studied music at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan, obtaining his diploma full marcks plus laude and honour mention under Maestro P. Borali. Winner of various national and international prizes (III Prize Prague Spring, III Prize Monaco Concour) he has played as soloist with different orchestras: RAI, Pomeriggi Musicali Stradivari, International Orchestra, Orchestra of the theatre “alla Scala” and Tokyo Orchestra. He has co-operated with Canino, Lonquich, Campanella, H. Shiff, Guida, Guberova, the members of the Quartet Hugen, Myung-Whun Chung... With the Italian Quintet he has been on tout throug the US and through Israel, playing some pieces dedicated to the Quintet by Berio, Sciarrino and Mascagni. He has recorded for Nova Era the concert synphony by Mozart with the Italian wind instruments Quintet, for Fonit Cetra the Quintet for clarinet and bows by Mozart and Brahms with F. Manara and the bows trio of “la Scala” for Thymallus a CD dedicated to Shubert, Shumann and Mendelsshon and one dedicated to Beethoven. He has recently recorded the concert K 622 for clarinet and orchestra by Mozart for EMI, with the co-operation of the philharmonic orchestra of the theatre “alla Scala”, directed by Maestro Muti; an exocution that during the last concert season claimed the enthusiastic favour of both the public and critics. He also has on his credits radio recordings fo RAI, BBC, Suisse Romande and he has partecipated in the most important European Festivals (Strasbourg, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Wien Roden...) He took part in the Clarinetfest 1996 in Paris, a concert survey providing the partecipation of the best  clarinettists. Teacher of various courses (Lonato, Porto S.Giorgio, Perugia, Castelfranco Veneto) he has been invited by the Conservatoire Superieur de Musique de Paris et Lyon for a series of concerts and master classes, starting from next June.
